Be inspired with Kim’s show and tell where she presents her original quilts and wall hangings for you to admire.

Learn the basics of machine quilting with lots of different designs that you can try.

Requirements:

*Kit fee $25 payable to tutor prior to workshop

Pencil and paper for drawing. (photocopy paper is fine)

Six quilt sandwiches. (top fabric, wadding and backing fabric about 12”x12”)

Your favourite sewing machine with a darning foot or stipple foot

Thread

Scissors and general sewing supplies ie. Needles

Water erasable blue pen

Quilt gloves if you use them

Sense of humour

Handouts: comprehensive guide notes at no additional cost

This is a half day session and we guarantee that you will be enthused and inspired to continue. After lunch see Kim demonstrate her amazing technique for colouring fabric designs then try it yourself.

You will be provided with a pre-quilted fabric square with a design to colour. Numerous designs and fabric colours to choose from (included in kit fee). At the completion of the class you should have a design you have coloured yourself which can be used to create a cushion cover, quilting bag, sewing machine cover, table piece etc.

*Kit fee covers the pre-quilted square and the use of colouring materials used during class.

Pictures above are actual results of student class work after colouring and are a representative example of flowers and geometric patterns. Other flowers are available such as tulips and roses. Demand will determine the availability of patterns. There may be the opportunity to purchase additional fabric squares at the end of class at a cost of $20, or 2 or more for $15 each.
