Nirand Thai Restaurant
The Nirand Thai restaurant is right beside the Sebel and is where we will be having dinner on Thursday evening.
Here are some other happenings in Kiama on our Retreat weekend ....
Kiama Produce Markets
Date: 4th Saturday of the Month
Venue: Black Beach, Kiama (Just outside the Sebel!)
Just the place for a beachside taste test. Stock up on fresh fruit and veggies, herbs and seedlings, eggs, lamb and seafood, bread and bagels, honey, jams, lemon butter, chilli sauces, spices, home-made cakes, peanut brittle and fudge, slices and muffins, local wines, juices, home-made soap and skin care. Try the curries, sausage rolls, Turkish gozleme and Shanghai dumplings. Lots of yum!!
Markets operate from 8am - 1pm
Walks around Kiama
There are plenty of places to step out and take in some fresh air along the coast or in the hinterlands around the Kiama area. The user-friendly Kiama Walk-it map identifies locations of popular walking paths and tracks and also provides information on the time taken to complete each walk, distance and grade of difficulty.
The Kiama Walk it map also shows interesting locations to visit during each walk. Call into Kiama Visitors Centre for further information including pocket guides and trail maps or download the Kiama Walk-it Map
Kiama Woodwork Group Expo
Date: 26 - 27 March 2011
Venue: Masonic Hall, Collins Street (Just across the park behind the Sebel)
The Expo will be held at the Masonic Hall in Kiama from 9am to 5pm. This is a great opportuntiy for people interested in woodcraft to come along and talk to the members about their work and to hopefully gain some new membership.
The expo includes a variety of stands displaying commercial items for sale and the kiama woodcraft members will be also selling some of their work over the two days. In addition to the sales and displays the members will also be putting their talents on show with demonstrations of carving, fretwork, woodturning, pyrography and there will be the Traditional Tools Group display of tools. Wood Sales.
Certainly worth the trip to Kiama for the day - ADMISSION IS FREE!!
